Wines of Illyria Blatina 2020

Blatina is an indigenous grape that gows exclusively in Herzegovina region and in limited quantities since it only has a female flower and requires other grape varieties to be planted nearby for pollination.
This wine is aged in 2000 liter oak barrels for 1.5-2 years and exhibits a glowing ruby red color, opens gradually with soft aromas of black currant and elderberry. The palate reveals fresh notes of red and black currant, traces of dried figs, ripe plums, and chocolate with an undertone of minerality.
