Stori Saperavi 2014
| Grape | Saperavi |
| Producer | Stori |
| Region | Georgia |
| Vintage | 2014 |
| Style | Full-bodied red, mature |
A mature expression of Saperavi — Georgia’s most important red grape — with the bottle age that the variety genuinely rewards. Saperavi is one of the few naturally dark-fleshed (teinturier) grapes in the world, producing wines of inky depth and high natural acidity that allow them to develop in bottle over many years.
The 2014 vintage gives this wine more than a decade of development — time in which the tannins have softened and integrated, the dark fruit has shifted toward more complex dried and savoury notes, and the wine has taken on the character that bottle-aged Saperavi uniquely achieves.
Tasting Notes
Structured and deep. Black currant, leather, plum, dark chocolate — the classic Saperavi profile, but with the complexity and evolution that a decade in bottle provides. Well-integrated tannins, bright acidity, long finish.
