Red Horn
The Nasrashvili Family Winery "Red Horn" is a specialized line of traditional Georgian wines produced in the Kakheti region. While the name might sound like it refers to a red wine, the "Red Horn" label is most famous for its Amber (Orange) wine made from the Rkatsiteli grape. The winery itself is a boutique, family-run operation in the village of Khirsa, led by brothers Beka and Nika Nasrashvili. They are known for a "low-intervention" or "natural" approach that blends ancient heritage with a modern, experimental spirit.
This is a savory, structured wine. Expect high-toned notes of quince, dried apricot, and peach, layered with earthy undertones of walnut, dried herbs, and honey. Unlike standard white wines, this has a "tannic tug" on the palate and a long, umami-driven finish.
