Pot De Vin Merlot

The Merlot Pot de Vin is a charming, "no-nonsense" red from the Languedoc region of France. Produced by Château de l’Engarran, this wine is part of their "easy-drinking" range, designed to be approachable, fresh, and slightly irreverent. The name "Pot de Vin" is a playful French pun; while it literally translates to "pot of wine," it is also the French term for a "bribe." A wonderfully pure and "naked" expression of Merlot. Unlike many heavy, oak-laden Merlots, this one is made in a fresh, "vin de soif" style. It is characterized by vibrant, juicy red fruit—specifically raspberries and red plums—with a soft, velvety texture and just a hint of wild Mediterranean scrub (garrigue).
