Pikasi Barbera Rose

Pikasi Rosé is a unique natural wine from the Vipava Valley in Slovenia. The project is a collaboration between Matic Rodica, a winemaker and professional ballroom dancer, and Petr Stegovec, a grower in the Vipava Valley. Unlike many Rosés that use Pinot Noir or Grenache, Pikasi is made from 100% Barbera. While Barbera is famous in Italy’s Piedmont region, it thrives in the mineral-rich soils of western Slovenia. It is known for having a "creamy yet salty" mouthfeel. You’ll find bright notes of strawberry rhubarb pie, cherry, and citrus, balanced by a refreshing, savory minerality.
