P.A.N.K Baro Pete Nat 2024
The 2024 P.A.N.K. "Baro" Pét-Nat is a vibrant, natural sparkling wine from Attila Pálffy, a seventh-generation winemaker based in the Balaton-Ufelvidék region of Hungary (specifically the village of Köveskál). The "P.A.N.K." label stands for Pálffy Attila Nemesköveskál, but it also doubles as a nod to the "punk" rock, low-intervention spirit of the project. Hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented with native yeasts, and bottled under a crown cap while still fermenting to trap the natural bubbles. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered with no added sulfur. Punchy, fruit forward, and refreshing, this is a perfect pairing with warm weather. Expect a balanced acidity and slight savory spice with a clean and salty finish reflecting the volcanic soil from which these grapes are grown.
