Roussillon’s Mediterranean climate and ancient schist soils produce Grenache Blanc and Gris of extraordinary richness and concentration. Olivier Pithon’s D18 is a 50/50 blend of the two: Grenache Blanc for freshness and aromatic lift, Grenache Gris for texture and depth. Together they produce a natural white of real complexity and aging potential from one of the south of France’s most important natural winemakers.
Tasting Notes
Rich and mineral, with the textural weight that Roussillon’s sun and schist soils produce. Stone fruit, white flowers, and the specific saline mineral quality of coastal schist terroir. Full-bodied but fresh, with a long, dry finish.
