Movia Puro Sparkling 2017

Aleš Kristančič produces some of the world's most fascinating and iconoclastic wines. "Puro" is his take on Champagne; except you are the one who disgorges the bottle! Tart tropical fruit notes and a bready, opulent mouthfeel are button up by a bone-dry finish.

The Movia estate dates back to 1700, passing into the hands of the Kristančič family with a wedding in 1820. The estate extends over 22 ha of land, about half of which lies on the Italian side of the Goriška Brda (hills of Gorizia) – Collio. Movia is more than a mere wine brand and the name of an estate on the borderland between Slovenia (Goriška Brda) and Italy (DOC Collio). Movia is a way of life, life in all its glory, purity of nature and sincerity of the author.
