Massaya Blanc
Massaya Blanc is a vibrant, modern white wine from Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. Produced by the Ghosn family in partnership with French winemakers (from Vieux Télégraphe and Angélus), this wine is a bridge between Mediterranean freshness and the ancient terroir of Mount Lebanon. This wine is a thoughtful blend of indigenous and international varieties. It is "lithe yet supple." Because it is aged on its lees for roughly 8 months in large oak foudres and demi-muids, it possesses a creamy, silken texture that balances its natural vitality. The 2023 vintage typically consists of:
-
-
Obeidi (35%): An indigenous Lebanese grape that provides a unique richness, "oriental" spice, and floral aromatics.
-
Clairette (35%): Offers bright acidity and delicate white flower notes.
-
Sauvignon Blanc (15%): Adds a crisp, citrusy "zing" and herbaceous lift.
-
Chardonnay (15%): Contributes roundness and stone fruit depth
