Maria and Sepp Muster are among the most respected natural winemakers in Austria — their South Styrian estate works with Opok soils, a local term for the marl and clay-limestone mix that gives their wines a specific mineral depth. Graf Zweigelt is their red wine: Zweigelt, Austria’s most planted red variety, given the full Muster treatment — biodynamic farming, natural fermentation, and the kind of unhurried winemaking that produces wines of genuine complexity.
Tasting Notes
There’s cherry and oak and tobacco and nutmeg and cranberry and probably about 300 other notes, hints and flavours that you’ll happily discover over and over. This is a wine that changes in the glass and rewards return visits. Complex, specific, and distinctly Austrian.
