Pielihueso "Los Sauces" No. 2 (often simply called the "Tinto de Los Sauces") is a refreshing, low-intervention red blend from the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina. It is part of a family-run natural wine project led by Alejandro Bartolomé and his daughter Celina. The name Pielihueso is a play on the Spanish phrase "piel y hueso" (skin and bone), reflecting their philosophy of stripping wine back to its raw, essential elements. A 50/50 mix of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Malbec brings plush dark fruit and floral notes, while the Cabernet Sauvignon (from 70-year-old vines) adds structure and a savory, herbal edge.
