Gaupasa Garnacha

Garnacha from Navarra — Spain’s indigenous red grape, dry-farmed biodynamically at altitude in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Navarra’s continental climate produces Garnacha with a freshness and energy that warmer southern Spanish Garnacha regions can’t always achieve. Indigenous yeast fermentation, no fining, no filtration, low sulfite: this is natural wine in the truest sense of the term, and at a price that makes it the honest everyday red of the shop.

Tasting Notes

Bright ruby, fresh and juicy. Red cherry, raspberry, dried herbs, and a light peppery quality. Medium body, soft tannins, and the refreshing acidity that Garnacha from altitude always produces. The wine for Tuesday night pasta and Friday afternoon sunshine.

Pizza, pasta, grilled sausages, manchego, jambón. The honest everyday red.
