La Foradada is Celler Frisach’s single-parcel old vine Garnatxa Blanca from Terra Alta — Catalonia’s inland wine region, known for its high altitude, extreme temperatures, and old-vine Garnatxa. Frisach’s approach is skin contact to extract the grape’s full aromatic potential: the result is a wine of remarkable depth and specificity from a variety that, in old-vine form and with maceration, produces some of the most interesting orange wines in Spain.
Tasting Notes
Green almonds, rosemary honey, wild fennel, dried apricot — the aromatic complexity that old-vine Garnatxa Blanca and skin contact together produce. Voluptuous on the palate, energetic and long, with the mineral grip of Terra Alta’s limestone soils.
