Chateau Rayas Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve 2010 750ml

The 2010 Château Rayas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réservé is one of the most iconic, benchmark releases of modern Southern Rhône winemaking. Produced by Emmanuel Reynaud, it represents the absolute pinnacle of what Grenache can achieve when grown on singular terroir. Unlike almost all Châteauneuf-du-Pape (which typically blend Mourvèdre, Syrah, and other permitted varieties), Rayas is exclusively Grenache.

The wine features a pale ruby with a slightly orange rim—surprisingly light in pigment for a wine of immense power. Soaring, complex nose filled with wild strawberry, kirsch, crushed raspberry, dried rose petals, garrigue, white pepper, black truffle, and blood orange.  Medium-full bodied with silky, fine-grained tannins, it delivers incredible concentration without any heavy weight. Its balance is driven by lively, vibrant acidity and a cool mineral core.
