Bordeaux Supérieur is the appellation for Bordeaux wines made with more stringent production rules than basic Bordeaux AOC — lower yields, more careful farming, more character in the glass. The Borderie family has been farming this estate for five generations, making wine in the Right Bank tradition where Merlot dominates and produces wines of plush fruit and early accessibility alongside the structure for aging.
Tasting Notes
Elegant baby claret. Dark fruit, earthiness, a hint of cedar and tobacco from the oak aging, and the classic Bordeaux Supérieur balance of fruit and structure. Firm tannins, balanced acidity, and the kind of honest, classical character that makes Bordeaux Supérieur one of the great value appellations in France.
