Bura-Mrgudic Plavac Fresh 2024

Plavac Mali is the primary indigenous red "blue" grape grown along the Dalmatian coast, genetically linked to Zinfendel. As much as there is talk about all the different wineries in Croatia, no other winemaker stands out more than Niko Bura whose family has one of the longest traditions of winemaking in Dingač and Croatia as a whole, spanning over sixteen generations since 1410! This is his fresh and easy expression of Plavac, a that's bottled 4 months after staneless steel and often served chilled. It is a fruit forward wine without being sweet and rich without being heavy. Flavors are vibrant, tart berries, pomegranate, with juicy tannins on the finish.
