Aperol Spritz Kit

The history of the spritz takes us to 19th century Veneto, Italy, when it was still under the rule of the Habsburgs. Some Austrian soldiers found Italian wines too heavy for their palates, as they were used to the lighter wines of Central Europe, and so they would add a “spritz,” or a splash of water to lighten things up. Over time, spritzes been adapted endlessly with a variety of liqueurs and sparkling wines. Salute!
