The Allendorfs have been living in the heart of the Rheingau - the Winkel - since the 13th Century, and
the wine estate was founded by Fritz Allendorf in 1955 who was also president of the Rheingau Vintners’
Association. His son Ulrich has been at the helm since 1996, and the estate is today an elite VDP member,
cultivating 140 acres of estate vineyards, mainly in Winkel. The whole family of Allendorfs are involved at
the estate, with the young generation Max as winemaker since 2012.
In addition to working as close to organic as possible The soil of the Allendorf estate in the Rheingau
is a rocky soil with natural irrigation and NO ADDITIONAL WATER is needed for irrigation purposes,
