Only meters above sea level, the local Babić grape is planted in small dry stone compartments called “suhozid” with 3-4 plants each. This retains enough water to help the vines survive the hot summer sun, and also inspires the new hipster label on his funky, earthy, but very clean and light take on this very special grape. Medium-to-full-bodied with a fine grained tannin. Earthy, savory mix of herbs and soil with a overripe strawberry core. Finishes with the fruit and herbs and throws in a whispy yet persistent dry grassiness.
